Disgraceful Treatment of the Survivors of the Israeli Attack on the U.S.S. Liberty

May 28th, 2014

Interview with Ernie Gallo, one of the survivors of the Israeli attack on the U.S.S. Liberty, June 8, 1967.  Gallo was a communications tech and petty officer on board the Liberty.  Later he had a nearly 30 year career in communications with the C.I.A.  Currently he is president of the U.S.S. Liberty Veterans Memorial Association. He has recently written a book, "“Liberty Injustices, a Survivor’s Account of American Bigotry”.  Interviewer Stan Heller talks to him about the many reasons the attack on the Liberty could NOT have been an accident.   NEW in this interview the fact that the Navy wouldn't even investigate the plainly illegal attacks on the ships lifeboats, the shameful history of the American Legion top leadership in regard to the Liberty, and what Senator John Warner said after he got a careful legal analysis of the failings of the original Navy report on the attack.

And listen to what Noam Chomsky said about the attack on the Liberty on this You Tube  in 2013.  He starts speaking about 4 minutes in.
